Atomica AI Desktop Suite
Sep 2023 - Nov 2025
Atomica AI is a US-based startup helping dentists provide the best patient care possible with the power of AI, robotics, and 3D printing. Its all-in-one software suite enables a fully digital workflow for implant positioning, guide design, smile design, and restorative solutions.

The suite
Atomica is a family of desktop apps behind one Launcher: implant planning, segmentation, guide design, and CAD, each organized into main modules, alongside the smile design app and the navigation system that guides robotic surgery. I worked across all of the suite's modules in parallel: shaping each application, unifying them into a cohesive ecosystem.
Teaching 3D with graphics and motion
Handling a 3D object is hard to explain in words. The instructions involved planes, orientations, and hand movements, which communicate far better as pictures than as sentences, so I generated helper graphics with AI that matched Atomica's design language, giving users a visual reference for the object in front of them. Where a still image was not enough, I created animations with 3D objects to explain the motion itself. I communicated these designs through clear prototypes that spelled out every movement and every interaction.
